German giants join Aston Villa and Leeds United in the race to sign Liverpool striker

German giants Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund have both reportedly joined the race to sign Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster according to Football Insider.

The youngster is also being chased by Aston Villa and Leeds United who have shown an interest in taking the striker on loan until the end of the season.

Brewster has featured for the Reds in the Carabao Cup but has failed to make an appearance in the league for Jurgen Klopp’s side due to the form of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of his admiration of Brewster, who he regards as capable of establishing himself in the first team but believes that a loan spell may well benefit the 19-year-old at this stage in his career.

Brewster has been earmarked to play in an inexperienced Liverpool side that will take on Villa in the League Cup on 17th December due to their participation in the Club World Cup and this would be another game for the teenage to showcase his talents.

The Premier League leaders have already had multiple enquiries from rival top-flight clubs as well as leading ones in the Championship due to the impressive form of the striker at a lower age level.

Liverpool are seeking assurances from any potential suitors that their player will be seen as a key man and will be fielded on a regular basis.

Although he has been linked with a move away, the Reds want confirmation that a lot of game time will be forthcoming for Brewster as they bid to help him develop in his career following a serious injury which has already seen him spend a long time on the sidelines.
