Premier League quartet show interest in on loan Brentford striker

Four Premier League sides have shown an interest in Brentford striker Marcus Forss, who is currently on loan at Sky Bet League One side AFC Wimbledon according to a report from TeamTalk.

West Ham United, Southampton, Brighton and Watford are all reported to be interested in the young Finnish striker who has caught the eye during his loan spell with the Dons so far this season.

The 20-year-old has scored seven goals so far for the London club, including an impressive hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over Southend United.

His performances in the third tier have led to reports that he will be recalled by his parent club Brentford in January, but only so they can sell him on to a top flight club.

The young striker is a product of the West Bromwich Albion youth academy, but failed to make the cut at the Hawthorns and was released following the conclusion of his scholarship.

He joined Brentford in June 2017, but was originally involved in the ‘B team’ plans. His performances for them saw him win the player of the season, and consequently he was promoted to the first team for the start of the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship season.

He suffered a back injury that kept him out for five months, but managed nine appearances for the Bees scoring two goals.

He appeared for Brentford early on this season, before signing a four year deal at the club and heading across London to join AFC Wimbledon on loan until the end of the season.
