Nottingham Forest defender heaps praise on Sabri Lamouchi

Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live, Nottingham Forest right-back Tendayi Darikwa has said that manager Sabri Lamouchi has been “a breath of fresh air” since his arrival at the City Ground.

Since his arrival at Nottingham Forest, manager Sabri Lamouchi has helped them rise up the Championship table, leaving them in 2nd place after 11 matches so far. The Frenchman has seen lots of praise come his way since the start of the season and right-back Tendayi Darikwa has become the latest.

Darikwa has said that the manager has been a breath of fresh air and hopes that the form can continue as they return after the international break. He said:

“He’s been great. He’s been a breath of fresh air. He’s new to the country and new to the league, but with the performances we’ve shown already this season, and where we are in the league, he’s obviously doing something right.

“All the players have bought into the way he wants to do things on the training pitch and on matchdays. Hopefully, he can be the one to take us back to the Premier League. It’s hard to tell what’s different.

“Results-wise, we’re showing that we’re picking up a lot more points, especially away from home. We’ve managed to win a few back-to-back games, which we didn’t manage to do until the back end of last season, and in this league that’s important.

“You’ve got to go on winning streaks and unbeaten runs. And so far, a lot more people are chipping in with goals from all over the pitch. We’ve got a great squad, we’ve got a lot of depth. Hopefully, we can continue to keep winning games.”
