Leeds United set to receive status changing investment confirms owner

Leeds United turn one hundred years old later this week (17th), during that time the club have experienced and endured some rather contradicting fortunes. From relegation’s and points deduction’s via administration in recent times, back to their domination in the late seventies and early eighties under iconic manager Don Revie.

In recent weeks the club have been linked with a take over move by PSG owners QSI (Qatari Sports Investment) throwing fans over the edge of reason in both excitement and disgust, with some believing that the soul of the club would be sold should they go the way of Chelsea and Manchester City, but some just smelling the success that the deal could bring to West Yorkshire.

Today though, owner Andrea Radrizzani has revealed that he is indeed looking at investors as he drives the club towards the all conquering Premier League, in a bid to make the club both sustainable and competitive at the top table in English football.

Speaking with The Times, the Italian has confirmed that there have been as many as twenty interested parties interested in taking a stake at the club, but he has whittled it down to just three major contenders, one of which is QSI, who is owned by friend Nasser al-Khelaifi.

The other two options would be a lifelong American based Leeds United fan and the current owner of an unnamed Italian team, something that the fans would, quite rightly, be sceptical about.
