Nottingham Forest goalkeeper secures non-league switch

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Jordan Wright has joined Nuneaton Borough on loan.

The youngster has joined the non-league side for a month, as announced by their official club website.

Championship side Forest have sanctioned a loan move away for the highly-rated shot stopper so he can gain some more first-team experience. He has been a regular for their Under-23’s side so far in his early career.

Wright could make his debut for Nuneaton today in their Southern League Central Division fixture against Biggleswade Town.

He has got decent experience under his belt of playing in non-league having had previous loan spells away with the likes of Alfreton Town, Kettering and Grantham.

He has spoken to Nuneaton’s official club website after securing his switch there: “I’m very excited to get started and to take on a new challenge that will see me grow as a player and a person. I wanted to get out and play men’s football and develop different areas of my game. After speaking to the gaffer and Dale, I took the opportunity to join Boro straight away.”

Nuneaton were relegated from the National League North last season and are aiming for an immediate return to the six tier this term.

The Boro have some familiar names in their squad such as ex-AFC Bournemouth and Peterborough United defender Miles Addison and former Burton Albion and Coventry City forward Stuart Beavon.
