Nouha Dicko “delighted” to join Vitesse on loan from Hull City

Nouha Dicko has said he is delighted to have joined Vitesse on loan from Championship side Hull City.

The 27-year-old has linked up with his former Tigers boss Leonid Slutsky with the Dutch Eredivisie side.

Dicko, who is a Mali international with three caps to his name, joined Hull in August 2017 from Wolves but has struggled to hit the ground running for the Yorkshire side.

He has scored seven goals in 54 appearances and has fallen out-of-favour under new manager Grant McCann.

Hull have sanctioned a loan deal for him to spend the year in Holland which will see out the remainder of his contract at the KCOM Stadium, meaning his time with the club is effectively over.

Dicko has told the official Vitesse website: “I’m delighted to be here. It’s a beautiful city, a good club and I know the manager. I’m very happy to be here .I know the manager (Leonid Slutsky) because I have played under him and with Max Clark as well.”

“The Dutch competition is famous around Europe. I have always followed it a little bit and I have played with some Dutch players. I know it’s a very good league and I can’t wait to get started. Vitesse is a good club, well known in England over the last few seasons.”

Hull were unable to offload want-away pair Markus Henriksen and David Milinkovic yesterday, as reported by The72 earlier today.
