Nottingham Forest set to terminate contracts of two senior players to allow Bolton Wanderers move

Nottingham Forest are preparing to terminate the contracts of two senior players to allow them to make the move to Bolton Wanderers according to Football Insider.

Both Liam Bridcutt and Daryl Murphy look to be heading to the League One side as they aim to complete a double deadline swoop for the Forest men.

The contracts of both Bridcutt and Murphy’s contracts expire next summer but the Championship club are willing to pay out the rest of them to sanction the move.

The duo are then expected to join Bolton on permanent deals rather than, as had initially been expected, on loan to the club who were saved last week as they looked to be heading for liquidation.

Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi hasn’t seemed to favour playing Bridcutt and Murphy and a move away looks set to favour all parties as they search for regular first team football.

Murphy was a regular last season, when he scored six times in 32 matches in all competitions but with the forward now being 36-years-old and entering the twilight of his career he could be set to bring his two-year spell at the club to an end.

Bridcutt also arrived two years ago from Leeds United but is deemed surplus to requirements and is now set to leave for the University of Bolton Stadium.

New Bolton manager Keith Hill has been given the green light to recruit multiple players on as he is fully aware that he will require further squad reinforcements as they prepare for a fresh start under new ownership and aim to overturn their 12 point deficit which was handed out due to their financial problems.
