Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has provided an update on midfielder trio Alex Woodyard, Mark O’Hara and George Cooper, who could all make moves away from the club this summer.
Out of the three aforementioned midfielders, Mark O’Hara was the only player named on Peterborough United’s transfer list at the start of the summer transfer window. Now, the Posh are listening to offers for a number of other players. The likes of Jason Naismith, Alex Woodyard and George Cooper could still leave the club before the window for League One and Two clubs closes next Monday.
Now, speaking on Twitter, club chairman and co-owner Darragh MacAnthony has provided an update on midfielders Woodyard, Cooper and O’Hara. O’Hara had been linked with Lincoln City earlier this summer after enjoying a successful loan spell at Sincil Bank in the second half of last season, but he will not be returning to the club this summer.

As for Woodyard, MacAnthony has said that he is attracting interest from more than five clubs already, with Posh open to letting him leave on loan if a permanent deal can’t be reached.
For the right deal yep. But he is highly coveted by 5 plus clubs at moment. https://t.co/aMusChgtJu

MacAnthony also revealed that Cooper was wanted by League Two side Bradford City. The Bantams swooped to sign Callum Cooke on loan for the 2019/20 season and had hoped that they could sign Cooper as part of the deal, but the two clubs couldn’t come to an agreement over the share of his wages.
Wanted Cooper as part of Cooke deal but couldn't get near wage % we need to allow loan to happen. https://t.co/6Kyhc0w8Kh
