Reading face battle to hold onto starlet with Wolves lurking

Wolves are interested in Reading forward Danny Loader.

The Premier League side could make a move for the youngster today, according to Sky Sports.

Reading have been busy over the past day or so bolstering their squad by bringing in the likes of Lucas Joao and George Puscas from Sheffield Wednesday and Inter Milan respectively. They however face a battle to hold onto Loader now.

Loader, who is 18 years-old, is highly-rated by the Royals and is being tipped for a massive future in the game.

He was born in Reading but started his career in the academy at Wycombe Wanderers before making the move to his hometown club as a youngster in 2012.

He rose up through the youth ranks at the Madejski Stadium and made his debut at the age of 16 in a Championship fixture against Millwall in the League Cup in August 2017.

Loader has since made 23 appearances for Reading and became the youngster Royals player under the age of 20 to play 20 games.

He has also represented England from Under-16 to Under-20 levels so has all the makings to be a top player in the future.

Wolves could see him as someone who would have a long-term future at Molinuex but Loader would benefit from playing regular first team football this season at Reading so will have plenty to think about if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side make a move for him today.
