It’s definitely going to be a very tumultuous lead-in to the first game of the season for Leeds United, that’s if we count forward from this morning.
Leed United fans expect ‘typical Leeds’ things to happen, and that is exactly what they are getting. They were promised “twists and turns” by MD Angus Kinnear, and it is one promise that is being adhered to by the club.
Trouble is, it’s not the type of situation that fans were envisioning. They wanted players coming into the club; what they are getting instead is players leaving. News from earlier today is that it looks extremely likely Kemar Roofe is shuffling off to Anderlecht with a £7million fee being bandied around.
However, Marcelo Bielsa was tight-lipped on this potential move for the top-scoring Leeds United striker during his presser earlier. However, as can be seen in the following tweet, he was more forthcoming over the future of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Bielsa uncertain whether Roofe will leave for Anderlecht. "I'm not sure what will happen." Peacock-Farrell close to joining Burnley. Bielsa says BPF wanted to go and felt "it was not good to stay here." #lufc

What this does confirm is what most Leeds United fans had picked up over social media this past week. Bielsa’s words seem not to just confirm that stopper Peacock-Farrell will be leaving Elland Road in an imminent deal that takes him to Burnley, but that the player himself didn’t feel it was good for him to stay at Elland Road.
With that, it all looks to be measuring up to be a bit of a jumble of a weekend for Leeds United and their fans to navigate. The club has Bristol City up on Sunday as they open their centenary campaign and could find themselves two players light.
