Nottingham Forest interested in move for Wolves striker

Nottingham Forest have been credited with an interest in Wolves striker Rafa Mir.

Birmingham City have also been linked with a move for him as the Reds join the race for him, according to a report by Nottinghamshire Live.

Forest have delved into the transfer window to land Sammy Ameobi, Alfa Semedo, Yuri Ribeiro, Aro Muric and Albert Adomah and are keen to bring some more signings to the club before the start of the season.

Mir has now emerged on their radar to add more options and depth to their attacking options.

The Spain Under-21 international is down the pecking order at Nuno Espiritio Santo’s side and is likely to leave on loan again next season for more first team opportunities.

He spent the last campaign on loan in the Spanish second tier with Las Palmas and scored seven goals in 30 games.

Wolves signed him in January 2018 and he was part of their side who won promotion to the Premier League two seasons ago. However, he has not played regularly for them.

He started his career with spells as a youngster at Barcelona and Murcia before Valencia snapped him up 2012. He was a key player for their B team before going onto make six appearances for their senior side.

Mir is in need of some regular game time and a move to the City Ground could be ideal for him this year.
