Birmingham City are interested in Wolves striker Rafa Mir.
The Blues are being linked with a move for the 22-year-old as they look to boost their attacking options, according to a report by Birmingham Live.
Birmingham boss Pep Clotet has been busy of late in the transfer window as he aims to put his own stamp on the Championship side. They have delved into the market to land Dan Crowley, Jake Clarke-Salter and Ivan Sunjic.
They could now move for Mir from their Midlands rivals Wolves to give them more depth and options up front.
Mir, who is a Spain Under-21 international, is down the pecking order at Nuno Espiritio Santo’s side and is likely to leave on loan again next season for more first team opportunities.
He spent the last campaign on loan in the Spanish second tier with Las Palmas and scored seven goals in 30 games.
Wolves signed him in January 2018 and he was part of their side who won promotion to the Premier League two seasons ago. However, he has not played regularly for them.
He started his career with spells as a youngster at Barcelona and Murcia before Valencia snapped him up 2012. He was a key player for their B team before going onto make six appearances for their senior side.
Mir is in need of some regular game time and a loan move to Birmingham would be a great opportunity for him.
