Ipswich Town reject £450,000 bid from QPR for winger- Player wants move

Ipswich Town have turned down a £450,000 bid from QPR for winger Alan Judge.

The 30-year-old is believed to be keen on a move to the Championship side, according to journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter.

The Hoops’ boss Mark Warburton knows Judge well from managing him at Brentford and wants to reunite with him at Loftus Road before the start of the season to bolster his attacking options.

Judge, who is a Republic of Ireland international with six caps to his name, only joined Ipswich in the January transfer window from the Bees but couldn’t prevent them from slipping into League One. He has two years on his deal at Portman Road.

The 5ft 7inc midfielder started his career in Ireland before moving over to England to join Blackburn Rovers in 2008. He has had since had other spells at Plymouth Argyle and Notts County before joining Brentford in 2014.

Judge became a key player for the London side and played 140 games for them, scoring 26 goals. He played a massive role in their promotion to the Championship under Warburton and then helped them get to the Play-Offs in the second tier in 2015.

He has bags of experience and would offer QPR more depth out wide. The London side have been busy adding to their squad this summer and have brought in the likes of Liam Kelly, Liam Wallace, Matt Smith, Luke Amos and Yoann Barbet.
