Former West Brom target could be allowed to leave Stoke City this summer

Former West Bromwich Albion target Bojan could be allowed to leave Stoke City this summer according to Catalan newspaper Sport.

Bojan Krkic made just 21 appearances for the Potters last season and has fell out of favour at the Bet365 stadium. With just one year left on his current contract, he could be available for as little as €1million.

The 28-year-old has been given permission by Stoke to be allowed to train at former club Barcelona in pre-season and having joined from the La Liga giants in 2014, now appears to be the right time for the little Spaniard to embrace a new challenge.

Several clubs in Spain have enquired about the availability regarding the attacking playmaker and it seems he could be about to return to his country for his next move.

It is well known that Stoke have already made six signings this transfer window and with new boss Nathan Jones keen to have a massive overhaul this is sure to push Bojan even further down the pecking order at the club.

West Brom were keen on the former Barcelona man and previous boss Darren Moore attempted to sign him last January as a direct replacement for the recently departed Harvey Barnes who was recalled by parent club Leicester.

Eventually the deal didn’t go through and Bojan stayed at Stoke but he became increasingly frustrated at his failure to obtain a move.

“I never want to speak to the press about these things but now I’m in this situation that I can’t accept anymore,” Bojan told the Sentinel once the transfer window had closed.

“I had an offer in January to go which I think was fair for everyone but they didn’t let me go, perhaps scared about the reaction from fans because they know the fans love me.”

Following his recent downward spiral at the club, it would be best for all parties if Bojan was allowed to move on.
