Leeds United winger deemed surplus to requirements nearing permanent departure

According to Turkish newspaper Denizli Gazetesi, Turkish side Denizlispor have reached an agreement to sign Leeds United fringe man Hadi Sacko this summer.

Upon the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds United manager last summer, a number of first-team players were deemed surplus to requirements and sent out either on loan or permanently last summer.

One man who left the club on loan was Hadi Sacko, linking up with Spanish side UD Las Palmas. However, after just five appearances for the Spanish side, Sacko returned to Leeds United in the January window before heading out on loan to Turkish side Ankaragucu, where he went on to play 15 times, scoring three goals and laying on one assist.

Now, upon the end of his loan spell, he looks likely to make a permanent move away from Elland Road this summer. It has been claimed that newly promoted Turkish Super Lig side Denizlispor have reached an agreement to bring Sacko in this summer.

Sacko joined Leeds United from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon on a permanent basis in 2017 after spending the 2016/17 season on loan with the club. In total, the 25-year-old played 60 times for the Whites across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing four assists along the way.

And, with the likes of loan duo Jack Harrison and Jack Clarke, Pablo Hernandez, Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas all providing Bielsa with options on the wing, it is unsurprising to see that Sacko is on the brink of making a move away from Leeds United this summer.
