Blackpool interested in ex-Crystal Palace, Brentford and Charlton Athletic winger

Blackpool are interested in NAC Breda winger Sullay Kaikai.

The 23-year-old could leave the Eredivisie side after just six months in Holland with Tangerines keen, according to journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter.

Blackpool finished 10th in League One last season and are looking to build on that in the next campaign. They have so far brought in Ryan Edwards, Jamie Devitt, Ben Tollitt and Adi Yussuf in this transfer window and have now set their sights on Kaikai.

Kaikai, who is from London, started his career at Crystal Palace and rose up through the youth ranks at Selhurst Park.

He went onto make 11 appearances for the Eagles’ first-team, three of which came in the Premier League. However, the tricky winger has spent the majority of his career to date out on loan in Leagues One and Two.

Kaikai had spells in the fourth tier with Crawley Town and Cambridge United before joining Shrewsbury Town on loan for the 2015/16 season. He was a hit with the Shrews and scored 12 goals for them in that campaign.

Stints at Brentford and Charlton Athletic followed for him but he couldn’t recapture the form he had at New Meadow.

Kaikai left Palace on a permanent basis for the first time in his career in the January transfer window when NAC Breda came calling. However, he could be on his way back to England with Blackpool this summer.
