Bristol City – have Robins all but announced Kalas capture

Bristol City fans have been left hopeful by the Bristol Post, after they released an article that says Bristol City have signed Kalas after fighting off competition from Celtic.

The defender, who was on loan to Bristol City from Chelsea last season, instantly became a fans favourite after he formed an impressive partnership with Adam Webster.

The Czech international has been teasing fans on instagram all over the summer, one post just a few days ago shows Tomas in Portugal with the caption, “I wonder where my future lies”. This was posted hours before the Robins announced the signing of fellow Chelsea loanee Jay DaSilva, and fans are now extremely excited.

The 26 year old played 38 times for the Robins, without scoring a goal, however he prevented many from going in at the other end of the pitch. The signing of Kalas means that the Robins have almost got the same team back from last season, all minus Lloyd Kelly who was sold to Bournemouth for £13 million and Kasey Palmer, another Chelsea loanee who Bristol City want to sign permanently.

Overall, the signing of Kalas for Bristol City is a massive one, and one that was needed. This means they can now push on and hunt down the play-off spot that they were so close to last season. Kalas was a key player in the Robins successful season last time out and can help to improve the squad yet again this season.

Bristol City fans, are you happy with this signing? Being a Robins fan myself I know I am!
