Leeds United in chase for available play-maker.

It has been an active day for Leeds United so far, but mainly with news of Jack Clarke departing for a top four Premier League club. Now it appears the money they receive will be reinvested into the playing squad at Elland Road.

According to HITC, The West Yorkshire side are casting their eye over Massimo Luongo from Championship counterparts Queens Park Rangers, reporting that the player will be made available for transfer this summer.

Nottingham Forest are also said to be interested in the twenty six year old Australian International, which could put a spanner in the works for any potential Leeds deal.

Last season The Hoops had an indifferent time, with Luongo playing in forty one games, scoring three goals and providing four assists, but you just can’t help believing that those figures would be vastly improved should he be playing within a more established team, with clear principles and tactics with a manager who knows exactly what he wants from his players and every player knowing exactly what is expected of them on and off the field.

Leeds are not short on depth in the middle of the park, but with Adam Forshaw linked with Fulham, could well look at an incoming player in this area.

QPR are said to have made the Sydney-born midfield play-maker available for transfer this summer, as new manager Mark Warburton looks to mould his squad into his own.

Some fans will say that Leeds could do with strengthening in different areas of the squad, but with a good quality player becoming available, maybe it would be good business and would add competition in the midfield.
