Five players Grant McCann could target for Hull City

Grant McCann has been appointed manager of Hull City on a 12-month contract. Here are five players he could target for the Tigers this summer-

John Marquis, Doncaster Rovers- The 27-year-old played a key role in McCann’s Donny side who got into the League One Play-Offs last season. He has scored 67 goals in 153 games altogether for Rovers. There will be a lot of Championship interest in him over the coming months but surely Hull will enter the race to sign him now.

Herbie Kane, Liverpool- The highly-rated midfielder has been linked with Hull in this transfer window and could now make the move to the KCOM Stadium. McCann signed him on loan last season for Doncaster.

Ben Whiteman, Doncaster Rovers- The former Sheffield United midfielder is another Donny player McCann could try and sign. He would offer  the Tigers more depth and options in midfield next season.

Ryan Tafazolli- He played under McCann at Peterborough United and has been linked with Hull in the past. The 27-year-old defender is now a free agent and weighing up his options. Could he be on his way to East Yorkshire this summer?

Gwion Edwards, Ipswich Town- He was a reported target for Hull last month. McCann knows him from Peterborough and the 26-year-old could leave Ipswich after their relegation to League One. The Welsh winger would offer the Tigers another option out wide and something different to the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki.
