Leeds United supporters react to striker’s potential departure

Leeds United forward Jay-Roy Grot has emerged as a loan target for Hearts and Vitesse Arnhem, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Holland under-21 international endured a difficult debut season with the Whites after making the switch from NEC in 2017, notching just once as Leeds finished 13th in the Championship.

Grot, who can also operate as a winger, spent last season on loan at VVV-Venlo and unless he can break into Marcelo Bielsa’ immediate plans in pre-season, another loan move could materialise.

After the news of Grot’s potential exit broke, Leeds supporters took to Twitter to voice their opinions. Despite being jeered by sections of Elland Road during his debut season, there was plenty of support for the imposing frontman:

If the forward does leave on a temporary basis, it will surely be his last chance to prove his worth to his parent club.
