Huddersfield Town, Charlton Athletic and Wigan Athletic keen on Bolton Wanderers shot-stopper

Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ben Alnwick is attracting transfer interest from newly relegated side Huddersfield Town, newly promoted Charlton Athletic and Wigan Athletic.

A number of players could be set to make a move away from Bolton Wanderers this summer. And now, it has been claimed by Football Insider that goalkeeper Ben Alnwick could be on the way out.

Huddersfield Town. Charlton Athletic and Wigan Athletic are reportedly eyeing up a move for Alnwick this summer as the prepare for the 2019/20 Championship season.

Jonas Lossl has left Huddersfield to join Everton this summer, meaning the only senior goalkeepers on the books with the club are Ben Hamer and Joel Coleman. Wigan are also in the market for a new ‘keeper after Christian Walton’s loan spell expired at the end of the season. Dillon Phillips is the number one choice at The Valley, but Charlton could be looking to provide cover and competition for the 24-year-old.

The report from Football Insider says that Alnwick could leave the club on a free transfer this summer, with the aforementioned trio keen on bringing in him on a bargain deal.

Alnwick has amassed plenty of Championship and League One experience over the course of his career. He endured seven loan spells away from Premier League side Spurs from 2007 to 2011. After departing Spurs in 2012, Alnwick has played for Barnsley, Charlton, Leyton Orient, Peterborough United and Bolton Wanderers.

He has played 2018 games at Championship level over the course of his career, also making 125 appearances in the League One (Transfermarkt).
