Liverpool set their asking price for Wilson

Harry Wilson has been of interest from many clubs after a successful stint at Derby County.

Liverpool will cash in on Harry Wilson this summer, according to reports.

The Wales star spent last season on loan with Derby County and impressed for Frank Lampard’s side as the Rams just missed out on Championship promotion.

Wilson is expected back at Melwood for pre-season but Jurgen Klopp is believed to be open to letting the 22-year-old leave permanently this summer.

Newcastle, Wolves, Bournemouth and Leeds United have all shown an interest in Wilson – both on loan and in terms of a transfer – but the Mirror report that Bundesliga clubs are eyeing the attacker.

The Reds have named their price for Wilson, setting it at £21million, with Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig in the hunt for his signature.

La Liga sides Valencia and Getafe are also tracking Wilson, who is also wanted by Leicester and Aston Villa.

Steven Gerrard would also be interested in bringing him to Rangers if the opportunity came up.

Wilson was a star man for Derby last season and scored 18 goals for them en route to their final defeat against Villa.

He also scored at Old Trafford as Frank Lampard’s side managed to shock them in the EFL Cup earlier in the campaign.

The success of England star Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, who spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim, has raised the profile of talented British youngsters in Germany – and they are keen to import more from English football.
