Middlesbrough join Nottingham Forest in pursuit of Hull City winger

Middlesbrough are keen on Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki.

The Riverside will rival Nottingham Forest for the signature of the 30-year-old, according to a report by the Daily Star.

Grosicki impressed for Hull this past season, scoring nine goals and gaining 12 assists. His contract at the KCOM Stadium expires in 2020.

He saw a proposed two-year loan move to Turkish side Bursaspor fall through last August but has put his head down since then for Nigel Adkins’ side and done well

Grosicki, who has 66 caps for Poland to his name, moved to East Yorkshire in January 2017 from Ligue 1 side Rennes. He couldn’t prevent Hull from relegation from the top flight in his first season at the club.

However, the pacey winger managed nine goals in the 2017/18 season and has again proven his worth in the last campaign.

Grosicki has proven he is a real handful in the Championship and would be a top signing for Boro. However, Hull know his worth and will not sell him on the cheap, especially to a fellow second tier side.

The North-East side are in the hunt for a new manager and will have promotion aspirations next season. They will have funds freed up after releasing the likes of John Obi Mikel and Stewart Downing, so will no doubt have the financial capability of bringing Grosicki in this summer.
