Plymouth Argyle sacked manager Derek Adams with one game left to go as he led them to the inevitable relegation to League Two.
For supporters of Plymouth Argyle, the wait goes on. But behind the scenes at Home Park, the board of directors will be keeping everything crossed and hoping that their patience will pay off in the quest for a new manager.
It seems that Bury boss Ryan Lowe is very much their choice to succeed Derek Adams in the Home Park hotseat. He is young (40, to be precise), plays an exciting, attacking brand of football and has had success this year in guiding Bury to promotion from the division that Argyle will find themselves in next season.
Lowe seems to possess the credentials that chairman Simon Hallett wants in his new manager. But asking Lowe to up sticks and move some 300 miles from his family home is perhaps the biggest stumbling block.
If Plymouth Argyle want to be promoted at the first time of asking, Ryan Lowe has to be appointed at Home Park at all costs.
Do you agree? Let us know your thoughts and whether you think Lowe should leave Bury for the league below.
