Aston Villa will be back in the Premier League with a win over Derby County at Wembley today in the Championship Play-Off final.
The Midlands side are in great form at the moment and will go into the clash in confident mood.
Their manager, Dean Smith, has spoken about his pride when he will lead his side out this afternoon, as per The72.
Villa’s 26-goal striker Tammy Abraham is looking forward to the game and has told their official club website: “It would mean a lot for me and all the boys to do it at Wembley. I’ve played there a couple of times and experienced the feeling. It’s what we deserve for a fantastic ending to the season. I’ve watched Play-Off Finals in the past. To play in one will be special.”
Midfielder John McGinn has made some impact this season and has said: “We’re excited. We’re excited to get going. We’re all thinking of the positive side – how it would feel, what it would do for the club – and the ambition everyone has here to go and make Aston Villa successful again”
Skipper Jack Grealish has said it will be the proudest moment of his career if he leads his boyhood club to promotion: “Walking out as captain at Wembley will be special. But only winning counts. This feels like the perfect time to do it. It’d mean the world. To me and my family. To walk up those steps as captain and collect the trophy. I can’t put it into words”
