Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a move for Leeds United winger Jack Clarke.

Spurs see the 18-year-old as one for the future, as per a report by the Daily Star.

Premier League duo Arsenal and Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest, however, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are apparently preparing a £10 million summer move.

Clarke burst onto the scene for Leeds in the Championship last season and impressed with his energetic performances down the wing.

The York-born midfielder played 24 games in all competitions for Marcelo Bielsa’s side and chipped in with two goals. The Whites will face a battle to hold onto the teenager now following their failure to gain promotion to the Premier League after losing to Derby County in the Play-Offs.

Clarke, who won Leeds’ Young Player of the Season, joined the Yorkshire side as a youngster and rose up through the youth ranks at Elland Road. He established himself as a key player for their Under-23’s before breaking into the first-team fold.

He was handed his senior debut by Bielsa in a Championship fixture against Brentford at home in October last year.

Spurs are expected to be busy this summer as the Champions League finalists may look to the future with their acquisitions. They have been linked with the likes of Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon over recent months, but could now set their sights on Clarke.

Leeds fans will be desperate to hold onto the wonderkid, but will face real competition.
