Aston Villa set to learn transfer fate of loan defender after Play-Off final

A report from the Express and Star has claimed that Premier League side Wolves will make a decision regarding the future of defender Kortney Hause next week, after Aston Villa’s Play-Off final against Derby County.

Aston Villa will learn what Wolves have in plan for on-loan defender Kortney Hause next week after their Championship Play-Off final, the Express and Star has reported.

Since joining on loan in the January transfer window, Hause has had a good stint at Villa Park under Dean Smith. He has played a backup role more often than not in his time back in the Championship but has performed strongly when filling in at centre-back and full-back when needed.

The 23-year-old played in six of Aston Villa’s 10 consecutive wins, before being ruled out through injury. Hause played frequently in Aston Villa’s rise up the table, helping them earn a place in the top flight after a poor first half of the season.

Now, the Villans are within one win of a place in the 2019/20 Premier League, and they could look to bring Hause with them – depending on what parent club Wolves have planned for the defender.

Prior to making his move to Aston Villa, Hause had hardly featured for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side since their promotion. He had played two EFL Cup games all season prior to moving to Villa Park, making no appearances in the Premier League.

However, Nuno is keen to re-evaluate Hause’s situation after Villa’s Play-Off final, hinting that his time with Wolves may not be set to come to an end just yet.
