Teenage Leeds United midfielder Theo Hudson has signed his first professional deal at Elland Road according to the club’s official website.
The 18-year-old Knaresborough-born midfielder has starred for The Whites’ Under-18 side this season while he was handed his first outing for the Under-23s in March.
Hudson is a creative player with the youngster having scored five goals in just 23 appearances from midfield while providing a handful of assists as Leeds United challenged for the Professional Development League North title last season.
Leeds United have now rewarded the midfielder for his development during the 2018/2019 campaign by offering him a one-year professional deal which the player has quickly signed.
The next aim for Hudson in his Leeds United career will be to feature more regularly for the Under-23s in the new season, although he may also be given the opportunity to experience some game time with the senior squad during pre-season. The Whites have a history of giving their academy players chances in the first team and Hudson will be hoping to follow a similar path.
Hudson signed for Leeds United at the age of just nine and has successfully negotiated his way through various age groups. The youngster has represented England at Under-16 level and he will be keen to experience professional football to help him in his quest for further international honours.
