Coventry City interested in signing Wolves goalkeeper

Coventry City are interested in signing Wolves’ Will Norris according to a report from the Coventry Telegraph.

The Sky Blues are going to have a revolution in their goalkeeping position this summer. The club decided to release both of their senior shot stoppers this summer with both Lee Burge and Liam O’Brien departing the club at the end of their contracts. And with both of them gone, Coventry are now looking for two senior goalkeepers who can compete for the number one jersey next season.

And it appears that they have found one of the goalkeepers they want to sign. They are looking at Norris who is currently contracted to Wolves. The 25-year-old goalkeeper signed for the Black Country club in 2017 from Cambridge United but has struggled for time in the first team having made only two league appearances for the club during his time at Molineux. This is despite the fact local reports have suggested that Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is a big fan of the player.

This is where Coventry are hoping to step in as they believe that Norris would have a much better chance of getting into the first team there. This report doesn’t suggest what kind of deal Coventry are looking for right now both it does say that both a permanent deal and a season-long loan is currently on the table. But however they try to get Norris in, the Sky Blues would definitely benefit from having a player of his quality in the club.
