Hull City boost youth ranks by snapping up Leeds United and Crystal Palace youngsters

Hull City have bolstered their youth ranks by signing Lucas Odunston and Ryan Hanson on professional contracts.

The Tigers have added the duo to their Under-23’s side for the next campaign. Jon Beale’s side are laying the foundations for a promising season.

Odunston, who is 18-years-old, has made the switch across Yorkshire having previously spent 12 years in the academy at Leeds United.

The right-back has had his injury problems in the past at Leeds but will be looking to hit the ground running in the black and amber stripes and try to break into the first-team in the future.

Hull have also signed Ryan Hanson, who has moved up north from Crystal Palace. He, like Odunston, is also 18 and has signed his first professional contract.

Hull have placed an emphasis on giving youngsters a chance over the past couple of years and is a good place for young players to be at the moment. The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Daniel Batty and Robbie McKenzie has established themselves as key first-team players at the KCOM Stadium.

Players like Brandon Fleming, Max Sheaf and Keane Lewis-Potter are being tipped as the next batch of academy graduates to regularly start next season as Nigel Adkins has made a pathway for youngsters.

The recent signings of Odunston and Hanson is exciting news for Hull fans and they are two names to keep an eye on in the future.
