Bristol Rovers have joined the race for AFC Fylde goalkeeper Jay Lynch.
The 26-year-old is out of contract next month and is the subject of interest from many clubs, as per a report by Bristol Live.
Football League sides such as Plymouth Argyle, Bury, Barnsley and Peterborough United have all been linked with him.
Bristol Rovers are now looking to swoop into the running. The Pirates are in the hunt for at least two goalkeepers this summer and Lynch could fit the bill.
Lynch kept 21 clean sheets in the National League for Fylde this season and impressed for the side who lost in the Play-Off final to Salford City on Saturday.
The Salford-born shot stopper started his career at Manchester United before joining Bolton Wanderers as a youngster in 2010. He never made a senior appearance for the Trotters and was released four years later.
Lynch stayed in the North-West and joined Accrington Stanley on a free transfer. He made two appearances for them in League Two before moving to Salford in September 2014.
He played a key part in Ammies’ rise up the non-league pyramid and helped them win back-to-back promotions from the Northern Premier League to the National League during his time at Moor Lane.
Lynch left Salford in 2017 to join Fylde and has been a key player for them ever since. However, he now looks set for a move back up the Football League after five years of playing in non-league.
