According to Sun reporter Alan NixonAccording to Sun reporter Alan Nixon, Blackburn are interested in reviving the career of former England #1 stopper Joe Hart.
Hart was a regular for both Manchester City and England before a drop-off in form saw him lose both positions. A series of unsuccessful loans to Torino and West Ham United were the precursors to his £3.5m move to Burnley as he continued to pursue his Premier League dream.
He started out well with the Clarets, but has seen his fortunes drop again and has lost his place to Tom Heaton. To date, Hart has featured in 19 Premier League games this season, conceding 41 goals and keeping just 4 clean sheets.
With losing his place in mind, Nixon says that Hart “is desperate to quit Turf Moor” and continues to say that “Blackburn are ready to grab” the former England stopper from their close Lancashire rivals.
For his part, Hart does not want to drop wages, even though he is desperate to leave to the point that he “is now looking to get out in the summer.”
The Sun’s Nixon says that in order to strike a deal, Blackburn will need to rely on a loan agreement with their neighbours. It also needs to be one on favourable terms with the Clarets contributing some of his salary.
Should Blackburn not be able to land their man, manager Tony Mowbray is also said to be considering Scott Carson who Nixon says “may leave Derby after losing his place in the side.”
