Norwich City defender attracting interest from Turkish giants

According to Turkish news outlet FotoMac (via The PinkUn), Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce are eyeing up a potential summer move for Norwich City defender Timm Klose, who could be available on a free transfer.

Norwich City centre-back Timm Klose – who is out of contract at the end of the season – is on the radar of Turkish giants Fenerbahce, reports from Turkey have claimed.

Fenerbahce defender and former Liverpool star Martin Skrtel is set to leave the club at the end of the season and they are considering a number of defenders as possible replacements for him. And Klose is reportedly one of the defenders that is on the club’s list of targets.

The 30-year-old’s contract at Carrow Road expires at the end of the season and the club could lose him on a free transfer.

Klose has played 31 times for Norwich over the course of this season but the emerging partnership of Ben Godfrey and Christoph Zimmerman has meant his game time has been more limited since the turn of the year. He has netted four goals over the course of the season.

The Swiss international defender – who stands at 195cm – joined Norwich in January 2016, but was relegated from the Premier League in his first season for the club. He has gone on to play 118 times for the Canaries, featuring heavily under Daniel Farke.

However, after over three years with the club, he could look to make a move away in search of more consistent game time now that Godfrey and Zimmerman look to have the two starting centre-back slots nailed down.
