Leeds United to take more as Ipswich up allocation – reactions

Leeds United away support is both numerous and fanatical. Irrespective of the day, time and/or distance, Whites fans travel away in their 1000s.

It’s as it always has been. Whenever any crowd pictures are posted on social media sites, there’s always the cheeky retort of ‘Leeds would’ve taken more’.

Now, thanks to Ipswich Town, that retort is becoming reality with news that the Tractor Boys are allocating Leeds United an extra 2,000 tickets for what could be an end-of-season promotion party in Suffolk.

That final day gesture by Ipswich Town could very well see an already promoted Leeds United side being entertained at Portman Road by an already relegated home side.

There are four games left for Leeds United to navigate, and they are already four points in front of nearest rivals Sheffield United. Wins in their next two games against Wigan and Brentford, coupled with two Blades losses (or two draws) will be enough to see Leeds United promoted automatically.

Until then, there is all to play for and Ipswich’s offer of an additional 2,000 tickets could be one that is welcomed on the last day of the season. It is a gesture that was bound to garner reaction, and that is just what it has done.

However, it’s not just Leeds fans who are reacting, Ipswich fans are also having their say. Here’s what’s being said on both sides.
