Blackburn Rovers attacker open to finishing his career at Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers striker Danny Graham has said that he doesn’t see himself moving to another club, hinting that he would be more than happy to remain with the club until he retires.

Striker Danny Graham has said that he is thoroughly enjoying football again and that his long-term future lies with Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Graham triggered an extension in his contract with the club, which was set to expire at the end of the current season. The striker had his at Ewood Park extended by another year.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Graham insisted that he is more than happy with Rovers, stating that he isn’t planning on moving away any time soon.

“I’m 33 now, I know I’m not going to be around forever,” Graham said.

“I’m enjoying my football. I love being at this football club and if I can get a few more before the end of the season, I will have the off season, work hard and look to have a strong season next year.

“I certainly would. I don’t see myself moving to another club. If there was a chance I don’t think I would take it.

“I’m very settled here. I love the boys, staff, everyone around the club.”

Graham endured a difficult spell with Sunderland before joining Blackburn Rovers in 2016 on a permanent basis after a short loan spell. During his time at the Stadium of Light, Graham struggled, netting just one goal in 42 games.

However, he has since put that difficult time behind him and is hoping his success with Rovers continues.

“More importantly for me, after my time with Sunderland, I’m enjoying my football again and I want that to continue. I don’t see the need to move on or leave any time soon.”
