Leeds United keeping an eye on two of QPR’s prized assests

According to a report from talkSPORT, Championship title chasers Leeds United are keeping tabs on Queens Park Rangers stars Luke Freeman and Eberechi Eze.

Queens Park Rangers duo Luke Freeman and Eberechi Eze are on the radar of Leeds United, a report from talkSPORT has claimed.

Both Eze and Freeman were in electric form throughout the first half of the season, firing Steve McClaren’s side up the table after a rocky start to the season. So far this season, Freeman has netted eight goals and provided six in all competitions, while Eze has collected four goals and four assists with 11 games of the Championship season remaining.

Eze’s performances have dipped in QPR’s poor run of form, but he is still valued highly by the London-based club. Transfermarkt writes that he is valued at just over £3 million, but given that he is aged just 20 and shows signs of serious promise, QPR are likely to ask for more than that.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Luke Freeman was linked with moves away from Loftus Road with a number of Championship sides considering moves. In the summer, reports claimed that Blackburn had a £4 million bid rejected for the playmaker, so the R’s asking price could be in excess of £5 million, especially after another strong season.

talkSPORT does write, however, that a possible deal will hinge on whether Leeds win promotion to the Premier League.

A number of wingers/ playmakers have been linked with a move to Elland Road since the turn of the new year.

The name most linked in the January transfer window was Swansea’s Daniel James. After a deal broke down in January, Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear said that they would consider a summer move for him. But, James seems set on a stay in Wales and discussions over a new deal are set to continue.

Derby County loan star Harry Wilson has also been linked – but that too will reportedly hinge on whether United win promotion as parent club Liverpool look to find a Premier League side for him next season.
