Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland interested in young French midfielder

According to French website France Football, Beziers midfielder Adam Boujamaa has caught the eyes of Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers and League One title chasers Sunderland.

Championship side Blackburn Rovers and League One’s Sunderland are both keen on Beziers youngster Adam Boujamaa, according to French website France Football.

The news outlet writes that the young midfielder has offers on the table from England, and could look to move away from France. Boujamaa is believed to be with Beziers on a short term deal after joining from French Ligue 1 side En Avent de Guingamp.

After catching the eye at Colomiers, Boujamaa joined EA Guingamp, linking up with their second team for two seasons. After 19 games over the course of two seasons with Guingamp II, the youngster left for French Ligue 2 sides AS Beziers. He has linked up with their second team, where he has reportedly caught the eyes of the football league duo.

A move would see the young midfielder sign his first professional contract in his career. With the transfer window now closed, it is unlikely that a move will be completed until the end of the season unless he is with Beziers as a scholar.

Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is keen to build for the future at Ewood Park, looking to bring a host of young players to Ewood Park.

Jack Ross is mainly focused on helping Sunderland climb back the divisions after consecutive relegations but has shown faith in youngsters in his time at the Stadium of Light. Josh Maja impressed in the first half of the season, earning a move to French side Bordeaux. Young midfielder Bali Mumba also continues to be involved in the first team picture.
