West Brom join Middlesbrough and Stoke in pursuit of Championship left-back

Championship promotion hopefuls West Brom are the latest side to be credited with interest in Ipswich Town defender Jonas Knudsen, who is also on the radar of fellow Championship duo Middlesbrough and Stoke City.

West Brom are reportedly interested in Ipswich Town left-back Jonas Knudsen, who is also catching the eyes of Middlesbrough and Stoke City.

Football Insider reported on Monday afternoon that Middlesbrough and Stoke City were considering moves to bring Knudsen in, with his deal expiring at the end of the 2018/19 Championship season. The duo have reportedly held long-term interest in the full-back and could look to move for the Dane.

Middlesbrough and Stoke both made moves for Knudsen in the summer transfer window, but the Denmark international ended up remaining at Portman Road.

However, now, with West Brom now looking at a possible move, could he be tempted to move away this January, The Tractor Boys would apparently rather cash in this transfer window and not lose him on a free transfer in the summer.

TWTD are now reporting that West Brom are also considering a move for Knudsen as Darren Moore looks to reinforce his squad ahead of their promotion dogfight throughout the second half of this season.

Knudsen is also attracting interest from clubs outside of England. Danish duo FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland and German Bundesliga side Fortuna Dusseldorf are also believed to be interested in the 25-year-old.

Paul Lambert moved to bring in a new left-back earlier in the window, bringing in Callum Elder on loan for the rest of the season from Leicester City to provide more support in the defensive department.
