The Yorkshire Evening Post have revealed that the youngster travelled to England to visit Thorp Arch last week and he will join up with the Under-23s side providing that the transfer is completed.
The Poland youth international, who recently moved into the Under-20 set-up, plays for Ruch Chorzow, a side who play in the 2 Liga competition – Poland’s third tier. He’s featured in 19 games this season, scoring five times and providing one assist.
Last season, as a 16-year-old, he was blooded by Ruch Chorzow in the 1 Liga – Poland’s second-tier competition. That season, which ended in relegation, he featured in 13 games.
The midfielder has been catching the eyes of European clubs since his breakthrough last season. Italian giants Napoli tried to bring Bogusz in on trial last season, but their approach was rejected by Ruch Chorzow. Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion and French club Stade Reims have also been credited with interest in the 17-year-old.
Now, all that remains for Leeds to do is agree personal terms with the youngster to seal their second signing of the transfer window after the arrival of ‘keeper Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Marcelo Bielsa continues to pursue Swansea City winger Daniel James, with The Whites ready to match Swansea’s £5m valuation.
