Stoke City midfielder offered escape route by Major League Soccer side

Stoke City midfielder Bojan is a target for New England Revolution, as per a report by Stoke On Trent Live.

The Major League Soccer side are prepared to offer the Spaniard a bumper deal to make the move across the Atlantic Ocean.

Stoke are happy for him to leave this month to get him off their wage bill. Bojan, who is 28-years-old, has made 13 appearances in the Championship this season and has scored once.

Bojan started his career at Barcelona and burst onto the scene at the Camp Nou at a young age. He made his first-team debut for the Spanish giants at the age of 17 in 2007 and went onto play 163 games for them before moving to Roma in €12 million.

After spending two years at Roma, he had a loan spell at AC Milan before Barcelona re-signed him in 2013. However, they immediately loaned him out to Ajax for the 2013/14 season ahead of selling him to Stoke in July 2014. Bojan has since played 75 games for the Potters.

He has also had loan spells in Germany and Spain with Mainz and Alaves respectively during his time at the Bet365 Stadium. Bojan looks likely to make the next move of his career to America.

New England Revolution are located in Greater Boston and are managed by former Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel. They are also the home to former Nottingham Forest defender Michael Mancienne. They have a couple of designated player spots for their upcoming 2019 season, could Bojan fill one of them?
