Leeds United man to set to depart – destination decision imminent

Leeds United attacker Hadi Sacko was sent on loan to Spanish Second Division side UD Las Palmas at the start of the season. However, he has failed to impress during his brief spell in Spain.

UD Las Palmas brought in Leeds United man Hadi Sacko on loan during the summer transfer window, as manager Paco Herrera looked to bring some pace and physicality to his side ahead of the Segunda Division campaign.

However, the Malian has failed to make an impact during his stint in Spain and it seems it will come to an end sooner rather than later.

La Provincia – a paper local to the Las Palmas region – are reporting that Sacko is set to make a decision regarding his future, with two clubs keen to bring the attacker in this January. AEK Larnaca of Cyprus and Hungarian side MOL Vidi are reportedly keen to sign Sacko and a decision will be made imminently.

The French-born attacker has played only 97 minutes in his time with UD Las Palmas, making just five substitute appearances for the Spanish Segunda Division side. A move to either AEK Larnaca or MOL Vidi would see him hopefully gain some more minutes on the pitch, with those coming few and far between during his time in Spain.

Sacko’s Leeds United future is up in the air. After falling down the pecking order throughout the 2017/18 season prior to Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival. He played 42 times in all competitions in the 2016/17 season when signing on loan from Sporting Lisbon. However, after making his loan move permanent, he only played 18 games in all competitions the next season with the majority of those coming off the bench.
