Aston Villa are interested in Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah, as per a report by Birmingham Live.
Dean Smith’s side have also been linked with Wolves defender Kortney Hause recently as they look to bolster their defence with some signings this month.
Fosu-Mensah, who is 21-years-old, is currently on loan at Premier League side Fulham but could be sent back by the Cottagers having fallen out of favour under their new boss Claudio Ranieri. He has made eight appearances in the league so far this season.
Manchester United are keen for him to get some more first-team experience and want him to be playing every week, hence why Aston Villa are now showing an interest in acquiring him.
Fosu-Mensah started his career as a youngster with Ajax but moved to England in 2014 to join United. He made his senior debut for the Red Devils in a top flight fixture against Arsenal at Old Trafford in February 2016, after impressing at youth levels.
He went onto make a further 20 appearances for United before he was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace for the last campaign. Fosu-Mensah played 24 games in all competitions for the Eagles.
Fulham then swooped to sign him over the summer for their first season back in the Premier League but the youngster has struggled to nail down a regular starting place.
Fosu-Mensah would get more game time at Villa and the move would suit both him and Manchester United.
