Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen is on Leeds United’s transfer wish list for January, according to BBC Humberside Sport.
The Championship leaders are expected to make a move for the highly-rated 22-year-old next month as they look to further bolster their ranks.
Bowen has impressed for the Tigers since breaking into their first-team at the start of the last campaign. He has scored 22 goals in the past season-and-a-half in the second tier.
Hull signed him in July 2014 from non-league side Hereford and he has turned out to be an inspired signing. He made his debut in a League Cup tie against Exeter City in August 2016 after impressing for the Tigers’ Under-23’s.
The Tigers have been bracing themselves for interest in Bowen in January. Premier League sides such as Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Cardiff City and Fulham have been linked with him over the past month or so. Hull’s fellow Championship side Leeds are now hoping to lure him to Elland Road to help in their promotion push.
The Whites are in great form at the moment under Marcelo Bielsa and their fans are starting to believe that this is the year that they finally make their return to the top flight. Bowen would certainly give them more quality going forward and would be an ideal replacement for Samuel Saiz.
Bowen will be facing Leeds this Saturday as Hull travel to Elland Road as the two in-form teams of the Championship at the moment go head to head.
