Norwich City and Derby County keen on Rotherham United’s midfield star

Championship duo Norwich City and Derby County are both reportedly interested in Rotherham United’s in form midfielder Will Vaulks, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Rotherham United midfielder Will Vaulks is the subject of interest from fellow Championship sides Norwich City and Derby County.

The midfielder has been in impressive form throughout the first half of the Championship season, and his performances of late have been catching the eyes of some of the league’s top sides.

Vaulks has been a mainstay in the Rotherham United side since he joined from Scottish side Falkirk in the summer of 2016. He made 40 league appearances in his first campaign for The Millers, before playing in all but two games as Paul Warne’s side won promotion back to the second tier in the 2017/18 season.

His strong form in the Rotherham midfield has been carried over into the first half of the new season, playing in 20 games, scoring three goals and assisting three goals so far this season.

Sitting in 20th position after 22 games, Rotherham are in a precarious position heading into the second half of the season. Manager Paul Warne will be hoping that he can keep hold of Vaulks as he looks to keep his side in the Championship this season.

However, with some of the Championship’s top sides expressing interest, they may find it hard to keep the midfielder. It is believed that the South Yorkshire side value Vaulks at around £1.5 million, but Norwich and Derby may end up having to pay more than this to seal the midfielder’s signature.
