Hull City defender eyeing loan move

Hull City defender Lewis Ritson is keen on a loan move to gain some first-team experience, according to Hull Live.

The 20-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for the Tigers but was on the bench for their trip to Millwall last Saturday.

Ritson is highly-rated by Nigel Adkins and could potentially get his debut over the next couple of weeks with games coming thick and fast over the festive period.

He has been a key player for Hull’s Under-23’s this season and has impressed. He has trained with the first-team on a number of occasions so far in this campaign and was taken on their pre-season tour in Portugal over the summer.

He has said, ““I just need to keep performing well in under-23s games to get noticed so I can be in and around the first team and if the chance comes then I’m ready to take it”.

Ritson joined his home-town club at the age of 16. He was linked with a loan move to Scunthorpe United or Port Vale last week.
It is exciting times for youngsters at the KCOM Stadium at the moment. The likes of Daniel Batty, Brandon Fleming and Robbie McKenzie have made the step into the first-team in this campaign. They have exciting talents in their ranks like Ritson and Keane Lewis-Potter, who may get their chance as the season progresses.
