Five things we learned from Hull City’s 2-2 draw with Millwall

Hull City have lost just once in seven games now after drawing 2-2 against Millwall at The Den yesterday. Here are five things we learned from the game-

The fight is there- Millwall is a tough place to go and at 2-1 down Hull fans will have been fearing the worst. However, the visitors showed great fight to draw level and will be satisfied with the point.

Markus Henriksen is a huge player- The Tigers’ captain made it two goals from two games when he headed home from close range yesterday. The Norwegian international has proven he is a threat from set pieces.

Brandon Fleming is one for the future- The 18-year-old made his league debut at left-back and had a solid game. He is following in the footsteps of Daniel Batty in breaking into the first-team this season and will be looking to nail down a regular starting position.

Injuries are a worry- Jordy de Wijs had to be subbed off in the second-half and has added to the Tigers’ long list of defensive injuries. Eric Lichaj, Reece Burke, Angus MacDonald, Stephen Kingsley and Robbie McKenzie are all side-lined.

Can Hull climb up the league now?- Should Nigel Adkins’ side be looking up the league and not down it? They have produced some decent performances over recent weeks and have proven they can cause any teams problems going forward. Next up for the Yorkshire side is a home tie against Brentford and they will be looking to gain another positive result.
