“He’s been brilliant for me” – Bradley Dack is full of praise for Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray

Blackburn Rovers’ star playmaker Bradley Dack has been full of praise for manager Tony Mowbray after the gaffer committed his future to Blackburn Rovers last week.

Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray signed a three and half year deal with the Championship side to keep him at the club until the summer of 2022. Since the arrival of Mowbray in February 2017, Blackburn Rovers have vastly improved. Despite relegating at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, Mowbray kept his job and led Rovers to an immediate return to the Championship.

Bradley Dack joined Rovers in the summer of 2017, and was influential in Mowbray’s side that returned to the second tier at the first time of asking. Upon the announcement of the boss’ contract extension, Dack praised the impact Mowbray has had on the team and himself.

“It’s brilliant news for the club and the whole team that the boss is staying long-term,” Dack told the club website.

“On a personal note, he’s been brilliant for me. He’s given me a free role to express myself. He’s a brilliant man manager. He knows how to get the best out of players.

“We actually had a word with each other at the end of last week, and he said I didn’t look like I was enjoying my football.

“That was the case, after all, we’d been well beaten at Preston and Wigan. He asked me to get back to enjoying my football, because that is when I play best. Fortunately things improved at the weekend.

“With me, he knows how to get into my mind and knows what makes me tick.”

It certainly seems that way, with Dack taking to life in the Championship like a duck to water. The attacking midfielder has scored 11 goals in 18 appearances, leading the rumours regarding a potential move to promotion hopefuls West Brom and Premier League sides West Ham United and even Tottenham Hotspur.
