Leeds United fans react and respond to QPR FA Cup draw

Leeds United are riding the crest of a wave near the top of the Sky Bet Championship. They have ridden their reinvigorated by Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa’s arrival, and imposed footballing philosophy, has seen the Argentinian transform a tranche of last season’s underachieving, mid-table players into a honed squad.

Players who struggled last season under Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom are now pulling up trees under Bielsa. In just one summer and 20 Championship games, Bielsa has turned the Whites from the Peacocks into a phoenix rising from the ashes.

Already out of the Carabao Cup, Leeds United will have to pin their hopes on an FA Cup run,  a run that begins in early January with a 3rd Round tie away at Queens Park Rangers.

As luck would have it, the Whites will get an early practice against QPR with the Londoners due at Elland Road on Saturday. Leeds will go into that game, as mentioned, in 2nd place, and will host a QPR side who will arrive in a mid-table 11th place.

It will be Leeds United’s high-press, high-possession and high shot game against QPR’s more measured approach. Yet, it will be a match-up that reveals some manner of how the two sides will approach January’s tie.

On the subject of that upcoming FA Cup tie, here’s how some Leeds United fans have been responding to the news over on Twitter.
