“Cost us three points again” – Aston Villa fans slate this player after disastrous performance in 5-5 thriller

After Aston Villa’s hectic 5-5 draw against Nottingham Forest, one man has been getting attention for all the right reasons. Striker Tammy Abraham’s four goals and inspirational still weren’t enough to seal all three points for Dean Smith’s men. The loanee has received significant praise for a clinical display in front of goal.

At the other end of the pitch, it couldn’t be a much more different story. Aston Villa goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has come under fire once again for a poor performance in between the sticks.

Nottingham Forest recorded eight shots in last night’s game at Villa Park, with only five of those on target – Nyland failed to make a single save in the entire 90 minutes. The Norwegian international failed to judge the movement on Joe Lolley’s long range effort, and should’ve saved Lewis Grabban’s near post strike which made the score 5-5.

It can be argued that it was a clinical display from Nottingham Forest, who caused problems for Aston Villa coming forward throughout the game.

However, Villa fans were understandably incensed with the performance of their number one, as he let down the Villa faithful once again this season.
