Frankie Bunn’s starting eleven consisted of Iversen, Hunt, Clarke ©, Edmundson, Taylor, Branger-Engone, Lyden, Gardner, Nepomuceno, Lang, Miller.

James Norwood had the first opportunity of the game, but George Edmundson managed to get back and stop the league’s top scorer as he tried to strike at goal.

Ollie Banks had an afternoon to forget against his former club, he tried his luck from the edge of the box but nearly ended up as a throw-in, later on he hit a freekick way over the bar.

With 39 minutes played, Latics winger Gevaro Nepomuceno put in a low corner into the box from the right and it landed at Johan Branger-Engone feet and he fired in from the centre of the box past Scott Davies (0-1).
